Easy Recipe – Jalapeno Poppers

…and low-fat compared to many other jalapeño popper recipes!

This is such an easy recipe for Jalapeno Popper and has become one of my absolute favorites! I love it so much that I actually make these jalapeno poppers for lunch sometimes…shhh! It takes me about 10 minutes to prepare 6-8 jalapeno for lunch (add-on more time if you are making a larger quantity for a party).

I do believe I have my dish for the Super Bowl Party I will be attending this Sunday.  Hmmm but then again maybe this will be lunch for tomorrow as well! My mouth is salivating right now…I think I am hungry!

Your shopping list for these jalapeno poppers is just 3 ingredients:

  • Fresh jalapeño peppers
  • fat-free soft cream cheese
  • turkey bacon

pre-heat your oven to 425 degrees

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner (optional but makes clean up easier)

Thoroughly wash your peppers

Cut the stem end off and then quarter the jalapeño (lengthwise and across) and scrape out the seeds and the vein. (you can also rinse the pepper to help get any loose seeds out if you want.

Slice the bacon into about 1-2 inch sections (I try to judge this size by the size of the quartered peppers)

Spread the cream cheese into the quartered peppers

Lay the turkey back across the stuffed pepper.

Bake for about 10-15 minutes…you want the turkey bacon to be thoroughly cooked.  The longer you leave the jalapeno popper in the oven the softer the pepper will be. You can be the judge for how long you leave them in the oven.
