Super Easy DIY Sugar Scrub Recipe
Have you ever wanted to give a gift to someone but you don’t know what to give? Well then this simple DIY sugar scrub is the perfect idea for you to try. It is so easy and inexpensive not to give it a try! And chances are you already have the ingredients (or at least most of them) but if you don’t they are easily found in your local grocery and crafts stores. And best of all the recipient will LOVE that you created this exfoliating scrub just for them.
For this tutorial I used a 4 oz mason jar but any size jar will work just fine.
3/4 cup sugar (any kind of sugar works…or you can substitute fine sea salt)
1/3 cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Almond Oil
lavender Essential Oil (desired scent level) (optional)
Violet Soap Color as desired (optional)
You can decide if you want a completely natural sugar scrub or if you want to add a scent and color.
Directions: Melt Coconut oil in microwave- Be sure to use a microwave safe bowl… set timer for 15 seconds, stir lightly. If the oil is not completely melted melt for an extra 10 seconds.
Do not leave Oil unattended while melting….over heated oil is subject to flash fires.
Combine sugar and oil
Stir with a wisk
If you are adding essential oil and/or color, add it now
Pour into your container of choice
Decorate with a pretty bow and a decorative plastic or wooden spoon
Add a label with how to use and ingredients (it is a good idea to add the ingredients to the label for when there are any allergies.
Directions for use:
Apply to wet skin. Use small circular motions on desired areas for 2-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Use once a week
